TESTING PROCEDURE
CONNECT THE CROSS TALK &ATTENUATION TEST SET POWER CORD TO 230V A.C.
CHECK THE GROUND TERMINAL
( test mandrel ground if any and utility power ground ).
TURN UNIT ON-OFF SWITCH TO ON .
WAIT FOR 20 MIN. WARM UP TIME.
PREPARE THE UNIT FOR MEASUREMENTS AS FOLLOWS.
SET THE CORRECT VALUE OF TEST FREQUECY BY BAND SELECTOR SWITCH AND THREE CONTORLS PROVIDED.
SET THE DB METRE SWITCH TO OUTPUT POSITION
SET OUTPUT POWER BY ADJ. OUTPUT CONTROL TO O DB..
CONNECT THE TEST PAIR TO THE INPUT OF CROSS TALK & ATTENUTION TEST SET BNC CONNECTORS IN CASE OF BALANCED CABLE AND ‘N’ CONNECTOR FOR UNBALANCED CABLE.
WITH SHIELD AND OTHER PAIRS OF CABLE CONNECTION OPEN FROM BOTH ENDS
AND THE TEST PAIR OTHER END OPEN CIRCUIT
SET THE TEST RANGE TO THE DESIRED POSITION WITH THE KNOB PROVIDED FOR THE PURPOSE .

NOW SHORT CIRCUIT THE OTHER END OF TEST PAIR
